Don't Try This At Home

My nephew wrote this paper for school and I just HAD to share it....

Have you ever seen something on Youtube.com that you wanted to try yourself? I was watching some funny videos on Youtube.com and I saw someone put soap in their microwave and I wanted to try it. I don’t think I will be trying that again soon.

When I was watching the different videos, I wanted to see what you could do with a microwave that was safe. I saw a video with an iPod in the microwave and also one with a cd in the microwave. I knew my mom would totally kill me if I tried these though. So soap in the microwave sounded like a fun idea.

I went into my bathroom to get a bar of the kind of soap we don’t like because I thought “I won’t be using this anyway.” First, I tried cooking it for 5 seconds, and nothing happened. After 10 seconds, I saw the first 2 bubbles. Then, by 15 seconds it was bubbling more and I knew it was going to work. By 30 seconds… it was taking up my whole microwave.

OH NO!!! When it was at 40 seconds I thought I better stop it before it started to ooze out and take over the world. Even when I pressed stop, it kept growing and I’m thinking “is this thing going to eat me??” It was getting REALLY huge!! Right when I was about to run for cover, it started to shrink and I let out a sigh of relief.

I decided to destroy the evidence before my mom found out and sent me to Siberia! After I had scrubbed the last bubble I decided that you really shouldn’t try everything you see on Youtube!
