I Reupholster Chickens For My Other Job

When I'm home I often spend a lot of time sitting on the steps of my front porch. Obviously these steps don't have any padding so when I'm out there for a long period of time my butt starts to hurt. So I decided I needed a pillow! And off to JoAnns I went. I had every intention of sewing it when I got together with Jana & Kara for craft night (we have craft night every Wednesday) but it turns out I'm much lazier than I give myself credit for. By the time we were done making some feathered hair clips I just didn't wanna walk upstairs so I figured, Hey! The glue gun is already out so what the heck... And it worked! But there was one spot that was really bugging me (apparently the seams had to look good even though it was going to spend the majority of its time smashed under my butt) so I decided to embellish it a little and Ta Da...

Pretty fancy smoking pillow, don't ya think?

Here's a Christmas gift I made using the same idea...

This pillow wont be spending a lot of time smashed under someone's butt though so I decided to make it a little more fancy/girly and added sequins.

What do you think? Do u think a 5 year old girl will like it?
